Job Description
Looking for a responsible, hard working, self starter and dedicated working student. Must be comfortable handling youngstock, skittish, and large horses. Position is anywhere from 4-6 days, hours to be discussed with the right candidate. As a working student you should be capable of completing all typical barn chores and horse care. Work details including, but not limited to, turning in/out, lunging, tacking, setting fences, wrapping legs, grooming, show grooming, clipping, assisting with lessons and trainer. Being able to see what needs to be done and do it. Applicant should be capable of walking, trotting and cantering comfortably on their own. Any jumping experience is a PLUS. Applicants should remember that as a working student you will work long hard hours but you will also have the opportunity to recieve training and lots of saddle time. With the right person, showing will also be a possilbility. If applicant would prefer to only do barn and horse chores with no riding, that is perfectly acceptable. Generally working students get one lesson per day plus extra time in the saddle.

The Facility
RPH Sport Horses is located at Red Mountain Stables. Facility offers several different size and types of stalls including cooled barn stalls and misted mare motels. There are 2 large arenas with jumps, a dressage court, and a misted covered arena. Also for use are 6 round pens ranging from 60-100ft and 2 hot walkers; one with variable speed. Plenty of tack rooms, trailer parking and access to trail riding right out the front gate.
