Job Description

Students must be at least 20 years old to apply. Accepting applications for a position starting October 15

We are looking for Serious students who truly want to get the education to become Professionals in the horse industry. Students will receive dressage lessons from USDF Bronze and Silver medalist. Have the opportunity to show, train warmbloods and Friesians. You will have the opportunity to ride with International clinicians at our hosted clinics. You will have the opportunity to learn and assist in stallion collection, AI, foaling ( during breeding season) Regular duties include feeding, mucking, tacking/untacking, cleaning tack, turnouts, vet medications, schooling horses. We will provided free board if you have a horse, this includes hay, grain, shaving, etc. You will be required to cover your horses vet bills, farrier ect.

You will be living with others so tidiness is a key. We are looking for dependability, responsibility, honesty, self motivation, intense work ethic, a love of horses, and the ability to be a team player. This is a drug free environment. References on farm and riding skills required.

Students get the opportunity to ride all levels of horses.

During breeding season students get the opportunity to get hands on experience in stallion collection, artificial insemenation, tracking mares cycles and foaling out. Very rare to get this education without spending a lot of money in a vet school.

THIS IS A 90 DAY Commitment! This commitment can be extended but is minimum of 90 days. 90 days give students a chance to learn and experience a Training and Breeding facility while improving their riding. Candidates who complete the full 90 day program get excellent references for their future careers and prove to potential employers they can fulfill a commitment in the equine industry.

Requirements

Will accept training level riders and above. Must have attention to detail. Must have teamwork attitude. Foreign students welcome. This is a Working Student Position and not a job.. We are looking for dependability, responsibility, honesty, self motivation, intense work ethic, a love of horses, and the ability to be a team player. This is a drug free environment. Duties include assisting with barn chores am and pm 6 days a week. Assisting with foaling, breeding, vet & farrier.

Accommodation

Live in with utilities and internet. One horse allowed. No other pets.
Great opportunity to learn Repro work and gain knowledge and experience in Dressage Training. This is a student internship. Training level/First level 200 a month and Second level 300 a month and living quarters and lessons. 3rd level up 400 a month plus living quarters and lessons.



References on work and riding experience required.

Full service stallion station and dressage training facility. We stand on the average 7 stallions along with foaling out mares. Dressage training through Grand Prix by FEI USDF Bronze and Silver medalist.
