Job Description

We are looking for a fabulous person to join our team. Must be outgoing, intelligent, motivated and ambitious with great communication skills – plus have advanced riding skills. You will be riding our racehorses in track work. You’ll need to be confident in the saddle as some of the horses are green and you’ll be giving them their first ride and hack. The job also entails being trained up in the Talkinghorses system to break in horses and re-educate problem horses. We get horses arriving from all over New Zealand to go through the Talkinghorses system. Travel may be involved as we run horse clinics around the country. You will also need to help coach for our corporate leadership programmes. We are looking for someone to stay long term, who wants responsibility and to be part of an exciting, growing business. You may have to do a couple of hours marketing (while baby asleep) per day - so pretty varied! Salary depends on experience. Only competent riders need apply.

Requirements

Good communication skills a must as you will be helping out with corporate training days. Also must have initiative, enthusiasm and ideas. Must be able to manage the farm when we are away. An eye for detail and thorough in everything you do. We have some valuable horses here and their well being is paramount.
