Job Description
Stud/Head Groom- Looking after a small herd of broodmares, yearlings, foals and competition horses. Must be able to work alone and be self-motivated, clean, confident and have the horses well being a top priority. We currently run a small breeding program and need staff who are experienced in all aspects of horse care from foaling to stallion handling. General duties include feeding, mucking out, catching horses for vet/farrier, grooming, maintaining feed, shoeing and worming programs etc. Some clients horses/livery. There is an opportunity to ride/exercise for right applicant.
Requirements
Open to work on a contract basis. Must be 20 years old, non-smoker and fluent in English. Able to maintain yard in good nick, must be a good worker, able to work in a team and alone, experience with horses is essential for this professional performance yard/breeding stud
Required Skills
Driving license; Drive Horsebox; First-Aid; Equine First-Aid; Handling Youngstock; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Sole Charge; Exercising.
