Duties of current occupation
I go to St. Andrews Presbyterian College in North Carolina and am a full-time student. I am also on the IHSA Hunt Seat team and take lessons twice a week along with a practice ride. I also volunteer for our Therapeutic Riding program.
Equine work experience
I have been around horses since I was about seven. I now go to college where I am on the riding team and ride 2-3 times a week. I have taken many different horse related courses such as Horse Science, Natural Horsemanship, Stable Management, and Equine Business. I have also taken lessons for a class and have received my Hackers rank. In stable management we were required to work at the barn several times so I am used to doing different kinds of barn duties. As a riding team member we are required to pull manes and clip the horse to prepare them for a show.
Specialities
I am a very outgoing person and can get along with almost everyone. I work very well with children and have been riding horses and taking lessons since I was seven years old.
Type of ride work
I ride English, mainly Hunter/Jumper and have been riding for 13 years. I recently have changed over into the Jumpers but am open to learning and improving my riding whenever I can.
Competition details
I have done a couple back yard shows where I rode in the flat classes and also the jumping classes. I have also shown on the IHSA level.
