Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
I have been a graduate student research assistant in geology and geography, and I will soon be working as an environmental educator at a camp and retreat in North Carolina
Only when I was paying my own way was I able to become a part of a wonderful hunter/jumper barn that offered me the opportunities I always dreamed of. My first lesson was in September 2014, and by the following March I was already jumping crossrails and helping with the collegiate equestrian physical education classes. I also jumped at the chance to help with the summer riding camps hosted by my barn, and loved the opportunity to spread my new knowledge to anyone who would listen. Helping at the IEA and IHSA shows were also a wonderful way for me to actively learn as much as I could about the running of a barn, and I never emptied of questions to ask my trainer or the more seasoned riders.
I have good organizational and computer skills and I can multitask well. I am a quick learner and once I know the routine I am very able to perform all of my duties in a timely and efficient manner. Although I do not have an extensive, equestrian-oriented resume, I have the passion, drive, and patience to pursue equine management
I have hunter/jumper flatwork and some crossrail experience, as well as schooling flatwork for shows.
