Currently at William Woods University getting a degree in Equine science. Daily taking care of a string of horses, includes feeding, stall cleaning, bandaging, giving shots and basic horse first aid.
I have been working and riding horses for over 12 years. I grew up riding reiner horses and ventured over to western pleasure and hunter under saddle. I have started several two year old colts and fillies of different breeds such as the American Quarter Horse, Tennessee Walking Horse, American Paint Horse and Arabians. I've trained stock type horses for other people over the years. I have ridden and trained gaited Tennessee Walkers for and on trails. I've shown locally and at breed shows competitively. At William Woods I have taken care of a string of horses and have a knowledge of basic horse first aid. I have also had experience in taking care of colicky horses. I have ridden many different breeds of horses, such as stock type horses, pleasure horses, and draft horses.
I also have experience in teaching people of all ages how to properly and safely work with and ride horses.
Certified in CPR, currently teaching other William Wood students in western.
I am proficient in riding western. I have shown in western pleasure, horsemanship, showmanship, trail, and bareback classes. I have also ridden hunter under saddle and saddle seat. I have never shown saddle seat, but can ride three gated and five gated horses successfully. I have worked with green, young horses and have introduced them to trails and the show ring. I have shown several junior horses over the years.
Shown in open shows and Pro AM Arabian shows.
