Right now I am a full time student at William Woods University. I will be graduating in May 2015 With a Major in Equestrian Science and General Studies. My duties include learning hands on outside and inside the classroom about our equine friends.
I have held several different jobs in the Equestrian world including a working student position at Concord Equestrian Center In Del Mar, CA W/ Mark Conley, I also showed and taught lessons with Concord as well. AS a working student I exercised assigned horses in turn outs, lunging, or riding, I was in charge of grooming and tacking up and tacking down for clients and my trainer, I gave IM injections, did deworming on all of our horses, sheath cleaning, stall cleaning, tack cleaning and office work. I did an Internship as a Ride along with a veterinarian and anesthesiologist, Jessica Laemmle In Southern California. I have also most recently held a position at Helen Woodward Animal Shelter in the Education department teaching children about all sorts of animals including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and live stock.
Im great at working with children of all ages, and I love to teach youngsters, but I am also pleased to work with clients of all ages! Im a very good communicator, and I am by far, best at working with the horses and serving them and attending to all their needs. But I truly do love and find joy in teaching as well.
I predominately ride Hunter/Jumper, but with my William Woods background we were required to ride two other seats outside of our own to graduate, so I do have experience in Western and Dressage as well.
