I’ve done everything from breaking untouched 10 year old horses for pleasure to training winners of state medal finals and ribbon winners at USEF pony finals and Indoors. A mature and reliable individual with transferrable skills and a varied work experience, seeks a temp role to complete Ride Safe & general riding. Opportunity to ride out/develop in-hand work welomed. Home counties preferred.
Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
BTEC National Diploma in horse management - double distinction NVQ 2 in Horse Care BHS Stage 2
BHS Stage 1 BHS Stage 2
Sole charge, stable management, grooming, exercising, liaising with customers and professionals, all general horse care and exercise. Experience of full livery yard, dressage yards and event yard as a working pupil previously, care of racehorses.
I have had various roles with horses over the years and enjoyed them all except the last one which was for a dealer and really made me question my whole career choice. I've had two years out doing other stuff but now I really miss horses and want to get back to it again. I am very hardworking and reliable with high standards; I work well as part of a team and alone; yard work to a high standard though would need to practice plaiting etc a bit again to get back up to speed probably. I have high standards and like an active role. Access to riding would be preferable but I've had two years out so no difficult ones at first. Happy to just do yard work/groom anyway.
I've just taken on a small local job where I work 1pm-2.30pm (except Thursdays and Sundays). So I am now ideally looking for work to fit in around this if I can.
Capable rider for exercising and schooling but I've had two years out so any riding would need to bare this in mind at first.
Personally some combined training. Limited through work - I usually have been working as groom and no opportunity for own horse. Previous experience preparing horses for competition as a groom - dressage, eventing etc plaiting, turn out, organising. At this stage would be more suited to role where I can practice my plaiting a few times initially due to staggered experience but capable and knowledgeable with high standards!
