I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

Resilience is my strength - I can do anything I set my mind to - I want a career in this industry and will work very hard to get there. I am a friendly and positive person - fun to be around - kids love me - self-motivated, willing to learn, flexible, genuine, and empathetic. I really like helping others.
Maintain horse tack and equipment, clean stalls & barn aisles, store hay, replenish grain/pellets/shavings, stall and pasture horses, tack and exercise lesson horses.
15 years of English; Hunter/Jumper riding, including horse care and barn care.
I have cleaned stalls, aisles, tack, distributed, feed, issued meds, groomed, and tacked. I’ve watched the farrier shoe more times than I can count. Have turned horses in & out, exercised, assisted with shows and lesson horses, and even slept in the barn numerous times.
I worked to barter for dressage lessons at a barn in Rhode Island for two years and am working at a hunter-jumper barn here in Lancaster since 2016. I am fast, efficient, and strong.
My trainer says I have a good seat, a lot of patience, and soft hands.
Horses are my passion. I find being with these magnificent creatures and hands-on learning is what I need to be successful. I have discovered many strengths and talents - patience, building trust with horses, easy to read, and understand anything horse. No one will work harder than me - I can be a reliable student that you never have to worry about or double-check on once I’ve learned the ropes.
I love kids and because I have a lot of energy and am kinda crazy - they love me too!
I officially started taking lessons when I was 6. I primarily rode hunter jumper but have also done some dressage, western, barrel racing, and cross country experience. I was in IEA in middle school. I took lessons fairly regularly throughout my life and have participated in AA, and C rated hunter jumper shows. I volunteered for a year with a therapeutic riding school - learned to sidewalk and lead. I’ve also exercised horses a lot.
Rated A, Rated AA, and rated C horse shows. Jumper and hunter equitation. IEA when in Middle School.
