Currently I have been working on a when needed basis for several rider from BE100 to 5*. I have been exercising competion horses, riding breakers and youngsters. Turning horses out for competitions and competition grooming, also all aspects of yard
I have ridden since being a small child firstly with the Cheshire Drag Hounds on the lead rein and then off. At the age of 9 we moved to Cornwall where I progressed to the 133cm open WHP with many wins at county level and HOYS on self produced ponies. I progressed into eventing at age 15 and just love it. It is my absolute passion.
Having never evented before I’ve had to learn from the ground up. I have been fully supported by my Mother but I feel grateful that whilst supported, she has always insisted that I learn to care for and prepare my own horses. There to guide me but make me independent and responsible for the horses in my care both at home and at competitions.
I have been lucky to be brought up in Cornwall and appreciate all that it has offered me but I am now finding it increasingly difficult to progress with my riding. I want to make a career within the equine sphere it is all but impossible being such a distance from everywhere to work, train and compete.
My love lies within the breaking and producing of young competition horses. I am a sympathetic but brave rider and I want the oportunity to learn more within all aspects of the industry. I have produced my horses from home, taking my current mare through to BE100 and it is my hope to move to Novice this season. She is a talented, honest mare, super intelligent however she can be quirky, therefore I am proud that I have produced her myself. She has been very much rated when seen.
Ponies, hunting, HOYS WHP, PC national eventing champs, U18 SW selection. I have been entrusted to ride and school my trainers GP dressage horse and stallions and youngsters I have broken ponies from home and sold them on. Ridden out and schooled fit event horses at different levels. A clients horse I am currently working with is very highly strung. I have learnt how to deal with him and keep him and myself safe at home and competitions.
As a junior rider I was a member of Cornwall Trec. Representing at RC national level ODE 100 From Pony Club I represented my branch at Eventing champs. Selected BE U18 squad 2023, unable to attend due to an injury. I have worked for a 5* event rider, all aspects of yard work and competition prep and at present have been travelling up to Oxfordshire to work on a when needed basis.
