Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.

Qualified British horse society stage 3 Dressage rider and Coach. Currently working towards my stage 3 care and lunge. Level 3 diploma in equine business management. Level 2 equine apprenticeship.
BHS Stage 1 BHS Stage 2 BHS Stage 3 PTT (Preliminary Teachers Test) AI (Assistant Instructor)
Teaching people of a variety of ages and abilities. Riding/exercising horses, lungeing. Hacking out. Teaching dressage, show jumping, cross country, gymkhana.
Worked around horses for many years now. Started as a volunteer, then weekend staff then an apprentice at my previous yard, where I developed plenty of skills and trained towards my BHS stages to become a coach.
I’ve been teaching since 2018. My current yard since August 2020, at which I have trained towards and passed my stage 3 dressage and coach. I teach a variety of people, from all walks of life and levels - beginner to advanced.
I also went to Reaseheath college for a year where I achieved a Merit in my level 3 diploma.
I have a very high client retention rate with the lessons I teach, I have many riders that I have taught for several years now. Many of my riders who started with me as complete beginners are now capable of cantering and jumping, whilst maintaining a safe, balanced position.
Yard work wise I haven’t done for a while as I mainly teach, but I am a perfectionist and I take pride in my work and ensuring everything is done to a high standard.
I prefer dressage and hacking, not a big fan of jumping. I have competed at preliminary level unaffiliated but would like to do more. I am capable of doing some lateral movements, but again would love to learn more. I am happy with leg yield, turn on/about the forehand, walk pirouettes, shoulder in and travers.
I have competed in dressage at preliminary level unaffiliated but would like to do more.
