    We are looking for a full & part time hardworking, experienced dressage groom to work for Team LBD Dressage home of International dressage rider Luke Baber-Davies at Chailey Stud Equestrian Centre in East Sussex.

We offer apprenticships at a training and breeding facility in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. This internship is an educational opportunity for those who are serious about working as a professional in the horse industry.Training horses in both english and western disciplines...Natural Horsemanship, Round Pen Training, Starting under Saddle, Western Dressage,Ranch Pleasure, Western Riding, Trail, Fox Hunting and Starting over Fences. We also stand a Quarter Horses Stallion,breed and foal out mares and imprint foals. The applicant must have previous experience working in a barn or have studied equine science in a Univeristy and/or ridden and trained under experienced coaches and/or trainers. Educational and Recreational field trips provided.Assisting and traveling to horse shows as opportunites exists. We also offer experience in Barn Management for non riders or casual riders. Requirements

Motivated student in the area of all- around horsemanship who is interested in and desires to learn different facets of managing and working in the horse industry which will include all around training skills both english and western, starting the young horse, working with clients,lessons, stallion/broodmare management,breeding, foaling, imprinting and sales. The applicant must be self motivated and willing to work a full schedule while at the ranch.

Job Benefits

Hands on experience and skills taught by excellent trainers and managers. After 6 weeks, the student will earn $100 per week educational stipend. We work with all students according to their skill level and provide opportunity to have many different types of riding and horse related experiences. Successful Students will earn an apprenticeship certificate and a horse industry work related detailed assessment that can be used for earning school credit or augmenting a resume. The Facility

Training and breeding facility for the all-around pleasure horse. We train client's horses as well as our own. We stand a Quarter Horse Stallion and foal out around 7 mares each year. We are a family owned business in a beautiful location where there are alot of opportunity to practice and learn good horsemanship and training skills...riding both english and western. Equine Reproduction is also a very important part of our business and we have a facility for collecting stallions, AI breeding ,shipping semen, foaling out mares and imprinting foals. We have 2 apprentices each season to learn various training and horse handling skills and how to work in a commercial horse barn

    Opportunity to work with top dressage competition horses, broodmares and foals. Seagry Stud is a private yard with 10 horses. This is for a live-in part time/full time groom to manage the yard. No riding is required. You will need own transport. Beautiful self contained flat provided. The work will be approx 5 half days per week in the Summer (flexibility on days) increasing to near full time in the Winter. Sorry but absolutely no own horses or pets.
