  • Small Hunter Rider/Working Student

'Miami. Fantastic position for petite rider! Are you 5'3 or under. SMALL and "tough" enough to train pony hunters. Prefer someone who has shown while growing up in pony hunter divisions .This is a great position if you want to learn to become an Instructor/Trainer. Opportunity to learn with lessons from a TOP "A" Show Trainer. NOT a temporary position but a position with a possible ADVANCEMENT. Live-in. Regrettably no pets. Ambitious people only please!'

We have a working western horse ranch. At times we take on a special person interested in developing their horse training skills. We have some of the most beautiful canyons and mountains for our horse training areas. We can help you from most beginner and intermediate skill levels. We have enjoyed several students who have a large amount of horse jumping background and like to see your skilled practiced here. Dressage is akin to many of the skills we practice with our colts. We are on the boarder of the Navaho and the Ute Indian reservations so there is much cultural diversity here. Camping trips are a highlight for many also. If you have a serious desire to learn about training horses we would like to talk to you. If you would rather come and just be spoiled, the fee we charge you is only $500/ week

  • YES, IT´S A WESTERN RANCH!..... IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!..... YOU´LL LOVE IT! I spent 1,5 months at the wide and open Anderson Foxtrotter Ranch. Rex is a very nice and friendly man with a big sense of humour. He teached me a lot about training horses in the way of natural horsemanship and gave me good examples "how to dance with a horse". (For this we danced at the roundpen once). It was great and I learned a lot! Thank you for the stay!

  • I've spent two months on the Anderson Foxtrotter ranch and it has been an amazing experience. Rex's horses are wonderful and easy to train. I've learned a lot about natural horsemanship and am very thankful for that. I miss the rides down the steep canyon lands, searching for anazasi houses, while training the horses. Thank you Rex!
