You are working assistant to busy owner, instructor, competitor, leader, camp director, 5 horses, 2 ponies. You are honest, intelligent, physically fit and sensitive with strong desire to work with horses and people. You have experience & background to prove commitment. Variety will keep you active, involved, motivated to experience hands-on all phases of riding stable operation and non-profit 4-H club. You have unlimited access to the horses & ponies, instruction, leadership and opportunity to grow and expand your own personal equine passions. Build your own flexible work schedule including time off. Earn minimum wage and or barter for living in apartment attached to barn and riding privileges. With horses & ponies you handle, exercise, train them to keep them happy and fit for lessons. With riders, you assist with lessons from halter & lead to groom & tack up to assist with me with lessons as needed. You get direct interaction with horses & students, family, friends. Build your own relationships. You help children & adults, through safe examples, enjoy recreational benefit and confidence from handling and riding horses & ponies. You are empathic and supportive to beginner youth to adult helping them all enjoy horses in natural, therapeutic, exciting and fun ways. I am typically on the farm and will provide general direction and supervision of your work. Comfort and confidence in working independently is important. Getting flustered is not a good fit. Level headed thinking and thoughtful execution desired. You assist with daily operations on weekly schedule. Tasks include feeding, cleaning stalls & paddocks & related maintenance. You identify & execute health needs from first aid to worming. When I am on off the farm, you will be responsible for all daily operations for duration of 2 - 14 days. At these times you will also care for our Greyhound dog, two cats and my home such as getting the mail, putting out trash, turning on-off lights,

Requirements

You live and work on the farm and take pride in assisting with running a safe stable operation. Ideally you stay for a year or longer. Apartment rents for $950 per month includes everything. Work up to 20 hrs per wk @ $7.25 hr or $145 wk, $580 mth. You can work off rent and/or hold second job. This is NOT a full time job. You work independently and take initiative in completing tasks. Job Benefits

I will increase your wage and responsibilities with success in working with equines and clients. Weekly review to keep communications and productive effort going. Monthly incentives. You will handle and work with ponies and horses in-hand, lunge line, under saddle. Work on your own interests that suit the equine's needs. You will have freedom and independence working with horses and students. I do not micro-manage. You are welcome to take instruction from me, but are not required.

You live on private farm in newly renovated sunny, clean studio apartment attached to barn on 2nd floor. You pay discounted rate of $370 per month by working 80 hours per month @ min. wage rate. Rental is all inclusive. Greater discount available with greater work done. Not full time job! Barter work for cost of apartment. Min. wage rate can increase with meet & exceed work expectations.
