Jobseeker Feedback

  • I spent just under three months with Bobbi and Gus, and learned so much in that time. The work can be physically demanding, but is definitely rewarding: with opportunities to see clinics and shows as well as developing farming skills, riding different types of horses, and undertaking normal ranch tasks. They are highly dedicated, passionate horse people, who will devote time to teaching you. Gus's natural horsemanship and Bobbi's dressage lessons were excellent, and will never be forgotten. Their property is beautiful, and their home is welcoming; a nice place to live and learn.

  • Working at the ranch was a wonderful experience! The horses are happy living out in the pastures and I found it amazing the way Bobbi and Gus could understand and work with them. Bobbi and Gus were very flexible in meeting my needs and every day presented a new learning opportunity. I especially appreciated the way Bobbi and Gus teach, allowing me to think about how I rode or did something, before telling me what they saw. I would definitely recommend Amado Equine to anyone looking for a working student position! Additional pluses are that Amado is a beautiful place to live, Bobbi and Gus are great cooks, and you will have the opportunity to meet international students! Thank you Bobbi and Gus for letting me stay with you!!!!
