We are looking for a responsible, experienced, hard-working lead rider and yard manager to help with our busy trail riding centre in the heart of the beautiful Brecon Beacons in Wales. Applicants must be: *over 21 *able to ride to a very high standard *non-smoking *preferably BHS qualified *preferably with Pony Club experience *experienced with leading rides and dealing with guests of all ages *willing to muck in with jobs inside our B&B guesthouse, as well as yard duties, as needed. *available from late Feb/ March – end of Sept/Oct. Preferably, applicants will be also: *able to drive a tractor *have experience breaking in youngsters *be able to drive a horsebox/ trailer *have a drivers licence Applicants must not: *bring their own horse/ dog *live out *have too many specific days off in mind – ie, festivals, holidays etc already pre-booked. We need people to be flexible with regards to time off. In return for all of the above, we offer plenty of fantastic riding in the most beautiful countryside, on our lovely horses, great home-cooked food, a fun atmosphere, all board and lodging (own room), use of a car, telephone, internet etc, and a salary to be discussed depending on experience etc. We would welcome applications from couples, as we also have plenty of general farm work that needs doing. This small family-run trail riding business has a working herd of between 25-35 horses. We also run a B&B from our farm. Our guests are mainly experienced riders and most of our riding is day-long trail rides locally, or trail rides between 3 and 5 days where we stay in inns along the way.
