  • Excellent opportunity for a Groom at Seagry Stud

Opportunity to work with top dressage competition horses, broodmares and foals. Seagry Stud is a private yard with 10 horses. This is for a live-in part time/full time groom to manage the yard. No riding is required. You will need own transport. Beautiful self contained flat provided. The work will be approx 5 half days per week in the Summer (flexibility on days) increasing to near full time in the Winter. Sorry but absolutely no own horses or pets.

Intern post learning all aspects of stud/ competition yard duties. Preparation and training for BHS & NVQ qualifications up to Stage/Level 3. All exam fees paid. We compete up to 4* level in eventing with dressage and SJ during the winter. Opportunity for competent rider to compete our young horses in Dressage/SJ, and eventing. Applicants must be reasonable and ambitious riders as we are ideally looking for a 2nd string competition rider to assist our senior (FEI ranked) rider. Must be ambitious and conscientious- the work is very hard and only motivated people will succeed. Our senior rider is a hard task master in both riding and stable management - this is not liberty hall and only the best will do and our students become the best. Those who survive our regime go on to super jobs but some fall by the wayside and we are fed up with investing time and energy in people who do not want to improve. You have been warned!
