  • Equestrian Center Horse Trainer

We are looking for someone to train our 8 horses under the supervision of Brad Hall, Master Eventer and IEP Level 2 instructor. Position is unpaid but has plenty of benefits: Ride our horses in a facility that includes a 60' x 160' indoor riding arena. Free room in a one bedroom apartment inside the riding facility. $100/wk stipend. View of the Mississippi river, close to Galena and Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort. More info: AmericanEquestrianCenter.com

We are looking for a responsible person to assist with caring for our 3 children (ages 7, 4 and 3) and maintaining our horses/farm. If the individual has adequate equine experience and interest, their time would be split between caring for the children, caring for the horses/riding, and farm maintenance/house work. We are relatively flexible and have historically tailored the position to the strengths of our au pair. Successful applicants would be able to work independently with the horses (exercising, grooming, feeding, cleaning) and within the home. The children attend school/preschool, sports and music and are not typically left in the care of the au pair on days that we are at work (we have other arrangements at this time). We have formed enduring friendships with our prior au pairs and so will only consider individuals who we feel share our values and interests. We strive to ensure that this position is mutually beneficial to the au pair and our family! Start and finish dates are flexible.
